New My wife has developed a few flower garden areas in what we call "our yard" . Capturing the new flowers is always a pleasure, but catching the morning dew is a bonus!

Shortly before five-a.m., at a place, myfamily and I call Bow’s Buck, I looked to the golden hour reflections and moodof our Father’s Day getaway – I believe I found it in this scene. There are many other pix in the series but thisis one that has that “golden” look. Ihope I captured the three dimensional reflections I wanted. And, hopefully you will enjoy it too.

Manana Island near Monhegan, Maine

Manana Island is an island in Lincoln County, Maine, United States, lying adjacent to Monhegan island, about 10 miles (16 km) off Pemaquid Point on the mainland.

It is very picturesque and the foto is worth framing!

Moxie Mallard - She is difficult to name –

Exhibiting such beautiful colors through my polarized lens leads one to believe that this could be an immature male. Given, however, that there were babies following her so intently caused me to think she is definitely a mother! The orangey leg, the underwater rocks and the distinctive water pattern and the beautiful eye makes the shot very gratifying!

Budding Park Magnolia

This budding magnolia tree's flower suggests a fresh start in an already rich life. Magnolia flowers in our climate area blossom and remain in bloom for a couple of days. This was shot on May 1, 2011

Then, the buds take over and the tree comes into its own for the rest of the season.

While the flowers are short lived, we still thank God for the time he lets us enjoy them!!

Monhegan Wildflowers

These flowers are not yet identified - but I saw them in Mid Spring during the late 90s, being trampled by tourists who were walking the trails looking for broader landscapes. The flowers are part of that greater "scenery" but go unseen by many!

The painted trillium is a wildflower in Maine. This one was taken at Screw Auger Falls in late May.

Here is a good example of water photography. If you look closely you can see parts are sharp and "pearly", others are silky and creamy, and then there is "foamy". I was quite pleased with the time I took to select the right exposure. This foto was not edited in Photoshop.
